Hi
sorry i took long enough time to finishing the test. here's the test that i've done http://www.mediafire.com/file/51d9x51d90w7zs1/%5BOverloadscans%5D%20TStest.rar

but before that i want to report a problem. when i write down the text in the bubble, the text seems cannot seen, but if i drag it out, it can be seen. i'm asking this because i really don't understand, though i'm already fill the text. it only happen for gamaran page.

Are you sure that the text layer was above the 'Dust / Bubbles' layer? because if it was under that layer, the whites with wich the bubbles were filled get over the text.

I don't really understand what you mean, but if you have the window with all the layers, just drag all text layers above all the other layers. Just click and drag.

hello, and welcome!

(aka : not your recruiter! just a fellow ....umm... classmate!)

I looked at your recent work and i think you should enlarge some of the text to fit the bubbles before Hazama sees it!

Had a quick look, mostly because I noticed Lion's post here.
Hazama will give a better look, just some quick mistakes I noticed:
Your text is without anti-alias. When typesetting we set the mode to smooth,
when using the typesetting tool there are some options at the top, the font, the pixels size and something weird with two a's. Atm that thing is set to none at yours, should be set to smooth. Try to center your texts more, you need to try to get a diamond sort of shape. Your text wasn't really too small or too big, sometimes it was a little big / small for the bubble, try to make your text fit the bubble but not fill the bubble, the text needs space to breath.

You might want to try dragging a text box instead of just the type tool. I myself also do it this way, but It probably produces less results / you spend more time spacing. If you prefer this use it ofcourse. (I hate the textbox, absolutely can't typeset with it...) On the 'This is the juuren village' text, Gamaran page 11. that text needs a white stroke, right click the layer, click blending options, go to stroke, and set it to white (in this case), 3 px is about the right size.

I'll check it again, sorry for the wait. Not sure why ZC said that.
It was alot better, when they use bold in the manga you should use a bold font. One tiny nitpick, the 'Also ehm what is it' text should be outside the bubble, always check where the text is on the raw (or simply turn the dust / bubbles layer off) Not much to say further I'll hand you the final typesetting test too.

Looks good, try to keep the diamond shape a little more. I'll wait a day and hope that Hazama shows up, otherwise I'll probably just add you to the staff Wink.

No need to really edit it since it's really misc stuff, and I make those kinda mistakes in releases too probably so... Mostly waiting because I just want another opinion.

You're in the team, glad to have you. Congratulations, your work will still receive a quality check the first couple times and you'll be told if you did something wrong, etc etc. standard stuff. You should be able to see the staff forum now, tell me if you can't. And haha, double post.

Now if you want a job lurk around the staff forum. I can give you a job right now, but I'd feel cheap if I did that.
Be sure to join the staff chat on the main site, we, the cool kids, hang there... sometimes...
And what is your time zone?

Under the 'Releases and more' area you should be able to see the staff area. I checked again and I certainly added you to the typesetters group (and not only the rank). In there (under the work area) you'll also find how to join the staff chat, otherwise I'll just pm you. And if you still can't see it I'll ask kati (admin long name) to have a look at it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
